Saturday is holy: No job interviews -SDA Church tells govt

The Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Church has expressed disappointment with the government for scheduling job interviews on Saturdays, which the church observes as holy and rest day.

Pastor Luke Limbithu stated that this decision is disrespectful to their faith, particularly since some candidates are also SDA members.

However, Permanent Secretary Edward Talota clarified that the government has already stopped holding tests on non-working days.

The issue arises as interviews for some elections officials are set to take place tomorrow, Saturday.
