Casual murders: Two Malawian men die in a revenge affair
A dispute at a local beer hall in Thyolo turned deadly, resulting in the loss of two lives, Malawi Data has learnt.
According to Masambanjati police public relations officer Amos Banda, 19-year-old Vedede Layi stabbed 36-year-old Harrison Mwandama who later died from severe blood loss.
In a shocking turn of events, Mwandama’s relatives sought revenge, attacking and killing Vedede.
Masambanjati Police condemned the acts of mob justice, warning that anyone taking the law into their own hands will face arrest.
The incident occurred under Traditional Authority Nsabwe, with Mwandama from Namuonjeza Village and Vedede from Jason Village.
