Race hots up to Malawi elections

As count down to 16 September general elections with only 16 days remaining political parties continue to seek votes from the voters.

An aspirant member of parliament Stevie Sukali for United Transformation Movement (UTM) in Chipala Nafisi in area 50 Lolongwe, says days are now number for the people in the area to be rescued from challenges they are experiencing.

Sukali adds that when he win the elections he will ensure that people are accessing NEEF loans equitably, citing marginalized groups such as people with disabilities, women and youths have long been sidelined.

He further says area 50 have resources to develop livelihoods by utilizing companies such as Dimeta, Nocma, Petroda as vehicle for development, sadly he says leaders lack expertise and clear vision for people to benefit.

Traditional Leader of the area born Emmanuel Madantha has asked Sukuli and an inspiring councillor of the area Marten Bihale to fulfill the manifesto they have pledged, accusing politicians of making empty promises during campaign period.
