Cattle thieves caught!

Police in Phalombe have arrested two men on suspicion of stealing three cattle in Chimwankhunda, Mulanje District.

According to Phalombe Police spokesperson Jimmy Kapanja, the incident occurred after community members tipped off law enforcers about two strangers who were spotted feeding cattle in an unfamiliar area.

The two suspects have since been identified as Chikondi Kapanda, 21, from Mwanga Village under Senior Chief Jenala in Phalombe, and Promise Gowero, 19, from Minjale Village under Senior Chief Nkanda in Mulanje.

Both men are currently in police custody and are expected to appear in court soon to answer charges related to the alleged cattle theft.
