Black market dealer loses his house
A family in Mulanje District has been left homeless after fire gutted their house in the area of Traditional Authority Njema.
The incident occurred at the residence of Group Village Headman Thakiwa, where community members said the homeowner, who is known for selling petrol, was transferring the fuel from a drum into smaller containers when the blaze broke out.
No injuries have been reported, but the fire destroyed household property, leaving the family stranded.
Authorities are yet to release an official report on the incident.
