Zomba woman arrested for stealing baby
Police in Zomba have arrested 35-year-old Jesse Mkondira for stealing a two-day-old baby boy from Zomba Central Hospital.
The suspect posed as a postnatal patient, struck up a conversation with the mother, and then disappeared with the baby.
The baby was recovered in Chirimba, Blantyre, after a CID investigation.
Mkondira is expected to appear in court soon to face child theft charges.
