‘ Ntaba arrested” – Kasakula confirms

Police in Mwanza have arrested a 20-year-old man, Timothy Ntaba, on allegations that he defiled a 14-year-old girl.

Mwanza Police publicist Hope Kasakula confirmed the arrest, saying Ntaba was renting a house from the victim’s father when he allegedly proposed a relationship to the girl despite knowing she was underage.

Kasakula said the suspect admitted to being in a relationship with the girl when confronted by her father, but denied having sexual intercourse until a medical report confirmed the act.

Ntaba is expected to appear in court soon to answer charges of defilement.
