Pregnant woman among three of the dead in Mangochi accident

A tragic hit-and-run road accident in Mangochi has claimed the lives of three individuals: a pregnant woman, her guardian, and a motorcycle rider.

The incident , at Nkhwazi Lodge along the Monkey Bay–Mangochi Road, when an unidentified driver lost control of their vehicle and collided with the motorcycle carrying the victims .

The driver fled the scene after the crash, leaving the three victims with severe injuries.

Despite being rushed to Koche Community Hospital, they were pronounced dead while receiving treatment.

The bodies of the deceased are currently being kept at the hospital’s mortuary.
