Former Parliamentarian dies after a road accident

Former Malawian Member of Parliament Rodrick Gundumulani Kavuta has passed away at the age of 81.

Kavuta, who represented Nkhatabay West constituency from 2004 to 2009, died at Mzuzu Central Hospital after succumbing to brain injuries from a tragic accident involving a bamboo tree.

Despite undergoing surgery, he couldn’t recover. His funeral service is set for October 6 at his home village of Lukalazi.
