Malawi military boat stolen
A boat belonging to the Malawi Maritime Forces was stolen in Monkey Bay over the weekend.
The theft was discovered early Saturday, prompting a search operation in the surrounding areas of Zambo and Mvunguti.b
While sources claimed the boat was found with its engine and fuel tank missing, Lieutenant Colonel Frank Kayanula, spokesperson for the Malawi Defence Force, contradicted this, stating that the boat and all its accessories were recovered.
Kayanula also confirmed that suspects have been arrested and handed over to the Malawi Police Service .
