Stealing within: Former radio guard arrested for theft

Police in Rumphi have arrested a 34-year-old former security guard at Rumphi FM Radio, Victor Kumwenda, for stealing K23 million worth of radio equipment.

He was caught in Lilongwe selling stolen items.

Recovered equipment includes a Yamaha sound mixer and subwoofer set, but some items like a hybrid transmitter and recorder are still missing.

Authorities are investigating and working to recover the remaining equipment.
