The Malawi Congress Party (MCP) has demanded an immediate apology from Times Group for publishing a story titled “State House in Disrepair” with fake photos, allegedly showing damage to Kamuzu Palace. MCP spokesperson Jessie Kabwila condemned the report, calling it “malicious and irresponsible.

“Times Group used fake photos to support their story, which MCP considers a serious breach of journalistic ethics, ” writes Jesse Kabwila Spokesperson for the MCP.

MCP urges media houses to adhere to principles of accuracy, fairness, and truthfulness in reporting.

MCP advises the DPP-led government to focus on delivering on their promises, including free secondary education and other development initiatives.
