Ganja time: Two men arrested over marijuana
			Police in Ntcheu district have arrested two men for being found in possession of Indian hemp without a licence.
Ntcheu Police spokesperson, Jacob Khembo, identified the suspects as Felix Tembo, 30, a motor vehicle driver, and his assistant Paul Bazilo, 38.
According to Khembo, the two were arrested at Senzani after police officers intercepted their Ford Ranger vehicle, registration number MG 544 AN, which is suspected to be using fake number plates.
Khembo said that upon searching the vehicle, police found 30 bags of Indian hemp weighing about 100 kilograms.
He added that the suspects were travelling to Blantyre when they were stopped at a Senzani police checkpoint.
The two, who failed to provide valid documentation for the hemp and they are expected to appear in court soon.
Tembo hails from Pengapenga Village, while Bazilo comes from Sungamoyo Village, both under the area of Traditional Authority Makwangwala in Ntcheu District.
