Mothers Day accidents in Malawi claim ten lives

Ten people have lost their lives in seven road accidents during this year’s Mother’s Day holiday.

According to the Malawi Police Service, four of the accidents were fatal.

The incidents occurred as follows:

– Six accidents in the Central Region-

One non-fatal accident in the Eastern Region

Deputy spokesperson Alfred Chimthere attributed the recent accidents to speeding.

Last year, four accidents were recorded, resulting in three deaths.
