“I don’t belong to any political party’s” -Joseph Nkasa

After being spotted performing at the Malawi Congress Party convention, musician Joseph ‘Phungu’ Nkasa clarified that he’s not affiliated with any political party.

He stated that as an artist, he’ll work with anyone who pays him, prioritizing his livelihood.

Nkasa had previously vowed to never do praise songs for politicians again, citing past negative experiences.

However, he now claims to have forgiven those politicians and won’t let past resentment affect his work.

The Zomba-based artist aims to stay relevant in the industry, which he believes is challenging for older artists due to new trends emerging daily.
