China ‘FORGIVES’ Malawi
China has cancelled two debts totaling approximately MK16 billion (about $20 million) owed by Malawi.
Chinese Ambassador Lu Xu made the announcement in Lilongwe, highlighting this move as a significant step forward.
China is also reviewing other debts owed by Malawi with the intention of extending the repayment period.
