Rampage: Hyenas kill a young boy in Kasungu

A 9-year-old boy, Elasi Wirima, has been killed and partially eaten by a hyena in Zozo village, Kasungu district, Malawi Data has learnt.

The incident happened while the child was returning from a borehole.

Chief Mnyanja has appealed for assistance to capture the hyenas, citing previous attacks on humans and livestock.

Authorities have confirmed the incident, but the Director of Parks and Wildlife is yet to comment.
