Malawi Investment body boss ARRESTED

Kruger Nyambalo Phiri, Director General of the Malawi Investment Trade Center (MITC), has been arrested on allegations of fraud and money laundering.

The 51-year-old is being held at Lingadzi Police Station in Lilongwe and is expected to appear in court.

Phiri was appointed to the position at MITC, but his arrest is linked to ongoing investigations into financial irregularities.
