Whip cracked: Prophet Bushiri to sue Kayuni over daughter’s death

Shepherd Bushiri has announced plans to sue former Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Steve Kayuni over the death of his eight-year-old daughter.

Bushiri claims Kayuni unlawfully blocked his daughter’s medical evacuation to Kenya in 2021, leading to her death.

The child was detained at Lilongwe International Airport for five days before the court allowed her to travel, but she had already passed away.

Bushiri is demanding accountability and seeking justice for his daughter’s death, citing constitutional and human rights violations.
