Esau Kanyenda diagnosed with liver cancer
Former Malawian international footballer Essau Kanyenda has revealed he has been diagnosed with liver cancer in the UK.
In a heartfelt message, Kanyenda has asked his fans to pray for him during this challenging time.
Kanyenda, affectionately known as “Black Mamba,” had a storied career playing for several top clubs, including:FC Welfare (Malawi)- Jomo Cosmos(South Africa)- FC Rostov (Russia)- FC Lokomotiv Moscow (Russia)- FC KAMAZ Naberezhnye Chelny (Russia)- Rotor Volgograd (Russia)- Dynamo Bryansk (Russia)- B93 (Denmark)- Polokwane City (South Africa)- Mighty Mukuru Wanderers (Malawi).
Kanyenda, who made his international debut in 2000, is remembered for his impressive skills on the pitch.
He was named Malawian Footballer of the Year in 2001 and 2002.
