Mutharika travelling to South Africa on a private trip today
President Peter Mutharika is embarking on a private visit to South Africa today, as announced by Chief Secretary Justin Saidi.
The president is scheduled to depart Malawi at 2 pm from Bakili Muluzi International Airport.
This trip marks Mutharika’s first international travel since his re-election on September 16.
While details of the visit are not being disclosed, it is expected to be a private engagement, following which the president will return to Malawi at a later date.
