Police arrest man over a feces scandal
Samuel Maonga, 24, has been arrested by the police in Ntcheu on allegations of compelling two male children to remove their feces using their mouths.
A report was received by the Ntcheu Police Station, stating that two boys, aged 9 and 11, were hunting in the bush at Maonga village in Traditional Authority (T/A) Njolomole district. While there, they chose to relieve themselves in a crop field.
According to the report, the field’s owner caught them in the act and advised them against it.,In an unexpected turn of events, Maonga visited the homes of the two boys the next day and coerced them to accompany him to his field.
Once at his field, he compelled the two boys to move the feces from one side to the other using their mouths, despite their reluctance. He then intimidated them, leading to the boys complying with his demand.
Upon returning home, the boys exhibited loss of appetite and unusual behavior, which prompted their parents to inquire about the cause. They then disclosed the distressing incident and were subsequently taken to Biriwiri Health Centre for mental therapy before reporting the matter to the police.
As a result, the suspect, Maonga, has been apprehended and will soon face charges for maliciously administering poison with intent to harm or annoy, as outlined in Section 240 of the Penal Code.
