“By elections in the pipeline”-MEC

The Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) is set to announce dates for by-elections in constituencies and wards where polling didn’t take place on September 16 or where results were nullified by courts.

This follows the postponement of local elections in Luwinga Ward, Mzuzu City, due to the death of UDF candidate Isaac Henry Singini.

MEC Head of Communications, Sangwani Mwafulirwa, says the Luwinga Ward by-election will coincide with others nationwide.
