Lightening kills two teenage sisters
Two sisters, Ellen Kambwemba, 19, and Esther Kambwemba, 15, died after being struck by lightning at a maize field in Chikwawa district.
They were safeguarding maize from livestock when the incident occurred.
The sisters were rushed to Misomali health center but were pronounced dead on arrival.
Police are warning people to avoid open grounds and hiding under trees during thunderstorms to prevent similar incidents.
