Police officer arrested for stealing batteries
A 28-year-old police officer, Constable Jones Kalemba, has been arrested for allegedly stealing a ship battery charger and generator battery worth K850,000 from Fuhua Investment in Chipoka, Salima.
Kalemba, who was on duty at the time, initially denied involvement but confessed after CCTV footage was checked.
The stolen items have been recovered, and he’ll face theft charges in court.
