“They are not prisoners- MPS denies knowing murder suspects
The Malawi Prison Service has dismissed reports that Dr. Victoria Bobe murder suspects paraded by police are Chichiri Prison inmates.
Spokesperson Steve Meke says the claims are “misleading and without factual basis”, stressing prisons are safe and secure.
Meke assures all inmates are accounted for, and there’s no escape or unlawful release linked to the case.
He urges the public to rely on credible sources and avoid spreading unconfirmed reports that cause panic.
