Woman sent to prison for bitting friends finger over a man

A 45-year-old woman, Idah Robert, has been sentenced to 4 years in jail with hard labour for biting off another woman’s finger in Neno district.

Robert fought with Gloria Donda over a man, biting her middle finger which was later amputated due to severity.

Despite pleading guilty and citing family responsibilities, the court concurred with the state’s call for a stiffer punishment, citing permanent amputation.

First Grade Magistrate Margret Khobiri handed down the sentence.

Robert hails from Donda village, Neno District.
