Man kills friend for refusing to share beer with him
A 22-year-old man, Richard Welemu, has been arrested for allegedly stabbing his friend, Yamikani Nandewe, to death over a Kachasu beer in Balaka.
The incident happened at Mbera Trading Centre.
Balaka Police publicist Gladson M’bupha says Welemu asked Nandewe to share a tot, but Nandewe refused, saying the beer wasn’t his alone.
Welemu got angry, left, and returned with a broken glass bottle, stabbing Nandewe twice in the neck.
Nandewe died at Mbera Health Centre.Welemu has been charged with murder and will appear in court soon.
