Police yet to arrest killers of a young girl

Police in Lilongwe are still investigating the murder of 21-year-old Beatrice Chabwera, whose body was found in Area 49 back in November last year.

The public is getting anxious about the delay, but Foster Benjamin, spokesperson for Central West Police Region, assures that detectives are on the case and will update everyone once they’re done.

The police have been facing criticism for slow progress in solving crimes, especially in Lilongwe’s high-crime areas like Area 25 and 49.

Just recently, there were reports of brutal killings in these areas, sparking fear among residents and disrupting businesses.
