Crocodile kills suspected thief
A crocodile has killed a 32 year old man identified as Zanki Finta a suspected thief who was being chased by people around Ruo River in Nsanje District, Malawi Data News has learnt.
According to Nsanje Police Public Relations Officer, Agnes Zalakoma, Finta and two friends were suspected of stealing cattle and were fleeing when the incident occurred.
The attack happened when Finta tried to cross the river into Mozambique.
The crocodile dragged him underwater, devouring his entire body except for his head.
Police and relatives confirmed the death, and the remains were retrieved for burial at his home in Nyang’a Village, Traditional Authority Mbenje.
