Man arrested for selling dog meat in Blantyre

Police in Ndirande have arrested Fatsani Zakaliya, 30, on suspicion of having been cooking and selling dog meat at a liquor store mixing it with beef.

Ndirande police spokesperson, Chibisa Mulimbika said the news reached them that the man had heard about the death of a dog at a house and had offered to dispose of it.

However, some young men found the man skinning the dog and when questioned, he fled.

After being caught, people realised that he was the one who had been cooking dog meat at a liquor store in the area.
