Theft tales two men to prison
Two men, Charles Pindani (22) and Allie Kunyenje (45), have been jailed for 8 years with hard labour each by the Second Grade Magistrate’s Court in Balaka.
They were convicted of burglary and theft, and breaking into a building and committing a felony.
The duo broke into a chicken kraal, stealing 42 local chickens, and also broke into the victim’s quarters, stealing a mattress, bicycle, bed sheets, duvet, and boots worth K750,000.
The state presented three witnesses, and the convicts were found guilty.
Magistrate Peter Nkuzi sentenced them to 66 months IHL for burglary and 34 months IHL for breaking into a building, with sentences running consecutively.
