MISTAKE: Pregnancies force teenage girls out of school
Six girls at Tukombo Community Day Secondary School in Nkhata Bay South have dropped out due to pregnancy in the first term alone.
Headteacher Ansite Kapanga Manda attributes this to girls wearing revealing miniskirts, which distract male learners.
The school sent home female students not complying with dress code regulations after male students complained.
However, a concerned parent disagrees, saying the skirts were long enough and the girls were treated unfairly.
