Hotel owner kidnapped in Malawi capital

Authorities in Lilongwe have confirmed that Sameer Sacrane, the Managing Director of Crossroads Hotel, has been abducted this morning.

Police spokesperson Hastings Chigalu stated that the event occurred at approximately 10:30 am, shortly after Sacrane arrived at the Crossroads Lilongwe Hotel.

Chigalu reported that two gunshots were fired as unidentified individuals forcibly took Sacrane from the location of the incident.He mentioned that law enforcement agencies have escalated their efforts to determine his location.

“We can confirm the occurrence of this incident, and we are making every effort to ensure that he is located in good health,” Chigalu remarked.
