Ntchisi students sent home over witchcraft

Some students at Ntchisi Secondary School have been ordered to return home due to alleged witchcraft practices at the school.

Some of the students, mainly boys, have said that they have been subjected to witchcraft, sexual assault and sexual harassment in their sleep for a long time.

Meanwhile, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education, Dr Ken Ndala, has requested time to comment on the matter.

However, a video message released by the school’s head teacher, Alice Donda states that the decision to send the students home was made in consultation with the Ministry of Education.

According to the message, the students threatened to destroy the school if they were not allowed to return home.
