Partridge confirmed as Reserve Bank of Malawi Governor

The Public Appointments Committee of Parliament has officially confirmed George Partridge as the Governor of the Reserve Bank of Malawi (RBM) following his appointment by President Peter Mutharika.

Boston Maliketi Banda, the Public Relations Officer for RBM, has today confirmed that the central bank has received formal communication regarding this matter.

At RBM, he will work alongside Deputy Governor for Economics and Regulation, Henry Mathanga, Deputy Governor for Operations, Kisu Simwaka, and Executive Director for Corporate Services, Mercy Kumbatira.

Prior to his appointment, Partridge held the position of Minister of Industrialization, Business, Trade, and Tourism in the current government administration.
