Man arrested for robbing and killing woman in Lilongwe
Police in Lilongwe have arrested a 48-year-old traditional healer named Phillip Malenga, who is suspected of robbing and murdering 30-year-old Memory Kamange at the Botanic Gardens Area 18.
As reported by Central West Region Police Publicist Foster Benjamin, Kamange, an epileptic bank employee who had been reported missing, was purportedly robbed of K30,000 and a mobile phone.
Investigators traced her phone to Ngomani, which led to Malenga’s apprehension.
He subsequently directed police and a medical officer from Kamuzu Central Hospital to the location where her body was found.
A postmortem examination indicated that she died from asphyxia resulting from strangulation.
