Zambian arrested in Malawi

A 35-year-old Zambian citizen, Steven Njovu, is currently in police custody in Kasungu for allegedly entering Malawi with a stolen motorcycle.

As reported by Miracle Hauli, the Deputy Public Relations Officer of Kasungu Police, Njovu was apprehended at Chisinga market following a tip-off.

Upon interrogation, he admitted to stealing the Gatoma motorcycle in Zambia and transporting it to Malawi for the purpose of selling it.

Njovu hails from Chibata village, under the Traditional Authority of Kapichira in Zambia.

In the meantime, the police are conducting an investigation to locate the owner of the motorcycle.
