KCH robbery suspect arrested

Police have arrested Dave Malamula due to his suspected participation in an armed robbery that occurred at the Kamuzu Central Hospital Roundabout in Lilongwe on March 2.

During this incident, a group of men stole money and cellphones from two victims.

Deputy Police Spokesperson Alfred Chimthere says that this recent arrest increases the total number of apprehended suspects to three.

Previously, police had detained Eric Phakamisa and Munlo Makina in relation to the alleged robbery.

Chimthere stated that the three suspects are expected to appear in court shortly, where the victims, who suffered injuries during the event, will likely provide testimony as witnesses.
