He walked home last night around 11:30,” Chimtembo remarked.
However, the police spokesperson declined to provide further details regarding Sacranie’s whereabouts during his absence or the conditions of his release from the abductors.
Chimtembo indicated that the police would release a statement shortly.Sacranie was taken on February 6 at around 10:30 am from his office located within the Crossroads Hotel premises.
Three individuals dressed in white robes ambushed him upon his arrival for work, discharged two shots into the air, and compelled him into a Toyota Fortuner before fleeing the scene.
Subsequently, the police recovered the getaway vehicle, which had been abandoned in Area 6.
The vehicle was found to have been equipped with two different registration numbers—KA 1444 and KK1008.
Last month, law enforcement officials stated that they had identified persons of interest in the case and were collaborating closely with the victim’s family.
Further details will be provided soon.
