Regime change: Brian Banda takes MBC mantle
Journalist Brian Banda has been designated as the new Director General of the Malawi Broadcasting Corporation.
A notice, which has been signed by Board Chairperson Benson Tembo, reveals that this appointment is regarded as a crucial step towards strengthening leadership and advancing MBC’s mission to deliver credible, public-interest broadcasting services.
Tembo has encouraged both management and staff to work in unison with Banda as he embarks on this role, stating that the Board looks forward to collaborating with him to promote MBC’s mission and values.
Recently, the board fired George Kasakula on the same role.
