Blue Eagles triumphs in netball tourney
The Blue Eagles have officially been declared the champions of the inaugural FDH Premier Netball League following the conclusion of the competition held at the KUHeS Sports Complex in Blantyre.
The police team secured the championship last week, but today they established a new record by winning all 22 of their matches, decisively defeating the Tigresses with a score of 58-33.
Civonets secured the second position after narrowly defeating Kukoma Diamonds with a score of 46-43.
As the champions, the Blue Eagles have received K13 million, while Civonets have earned K10 million.
The Diamonds have been awarded K8 million.
The three teams at the bottom of the standings, namely Air Force Falcons, Karonga, and Ekwendeni Resource, have been relegated from the league.
The event was honored by the presence of Principal Secretary in the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture, Jameson Ndalama.
