APM, Chihana hold ‘fruitful’ meeting
In an uncommon public appearance, the second vice president, Enock Chihana, has taken to social media to discuss a meeting he held with President Peter Mutharika.
He shares on his Facebook account that he had a “productive meeting” with President Mutharika at the state house in Lilongwe yesterday.

“I am (sic) humbled and honored to be one of the individuals entrusted to implement the President’s development vision and I am enthusiastic about the promising future that lies ahead for our nation,” Chihana states, adding that the “vision, passion, and plans for revitalizing Malawi are genuinely inspiring.”
The second vice president, whose party Aford is allied with Mutharika’s DPP, has recently emerged from a politically charged by-election campaign in the Rumphi Central constituency.
Chihana typically does not engage personally on social media regarding state matters, particularly concerning the content of his discussions with his superior.
