Ex First Lady preaches peace

Former Malawi First Lady Gertrude Mutharika has urged Malawians to prioritize peace, unity, and Godliness ahead of the September 16 polls.

She made the call at a choir music festival in Mangochi, where she donated 1 million kwacha to support the event.

Mutharika emphasized the importance of faith and God-fearing citizens in driving the country’s growth.

Event organizer and DPP parliamentary aspirant Rodrick Clement Chiwaya said the concert aimed to promote local talent and encourage Malawians to turn to God amidst various challenges.

Mangochi CCAP Kufalitsa Choir emerged as the festival’s winner.
