Joyce Banda escapes an accident in Blantyre

Former President and People’s Party (PP) leader Joyce Banda escaped injury after her convoy was hit by another vehicle written for hire
According to Banda, the incident occurred while she was traveling from Blantyre, where she had addressed arally at Nyambadwe ground.
“Yesterday, August 16th, this car just hit my convoy last evening on my way from Blantyre… I am grateful to the police who rushed to help and record the incident,” Banda stated.
Banda, who served as Malawi’s president from 2012 to 2014, expressed her gratitude to the police for their swift response and warned that she would not take the incident lightly.
“It will be my God against your’s. Mark this day,” she declared.
The motive behind the incident is currently unclear, and it is unknown whether any arrests have been made.
