Sad Chindi: Man arrested for killing friend

A 35-year-old man, John Simbeye, is in police custody for allegedly stabbing Chindikani Mtambo to death in Chitipa District.

he incident occurred at a funeral ceremony in Jembia area, where the victim was helping dig a grave.

Simbeye allegedly stabbed Mtambo in the head with a knife without an apparent reason.

Mtambo died at Chitipa District Hospital due to severe blood loss.

A postmortem confirmed the cause of death.

Simbeye will appear in court soon.
