“Chilima and UTM lied to Malawians “- Mumba

The Malawi Congress Party (MCP) Presidential running mate, Vitumbiko Mumba, has accused the UTM then led by the late Saulos Chilima of making unrealistic promises during the 2020 elections, including selling fertilizer at K4,000 and creating one million jobs.

Mumba emphasized that MCP will focus on delivering tangible development to Malawians, rather than making false promises.

He also highlighted the MCP-led government’s development initiatives in Karonga, including the rehabilitation of irrigation schemes.

But UTM publicist has described Mumba’s remarks as trivial.
