Malawi must trust me until 2030- Chakwera

President Lazarus Chakwera has called on young people in Malawi to place their trust in him and give him the mandate to continue leading the nation, promising to carry forward the vision.

He said that many youths were not alive during Banda’s era, but emphasised that they can still bring his dream to life by supporting current efforts to build on the foundation Banda laid.

“I know that many of you believe in a better future for Malawi. It is possible to make Malawi the nation that Kamuzu dreamt of,” Chakwera said.

“For this dream to come true, you do not need to surrender this country to those who destroyed it. Allow me to continue building it until 2030.”
