Wa neba: Zambian arrested in Malawi

Police have arrested a Zambian national, identified as John Soko, for allegedly smuggling 1,080 litres of fuel into Malawi.

Mchinji Police spokesperson Limbikani Mpinganjira confirmed the development, saying Soko was intercepted at the Malawi–Zambia border while driving a Toyota Corolla and police recovered 27 drums of fuel concealed in the vehicle.

Soko is expected to appear in court soon to answer charges related to fuel smuggling.
