Misconduct earns Malawian goalkeeper suspension

The Super League of Malawi (SULOM) Disciplinary Committee has suspended Ekhaya FC goalkeeper Elias Missi for the next three league matches, effective immediately, while the team has been fined K3 Million for bringing the league into disrepute.
The determination follows incidents of misconduct that happened on 2 July 2025 during a TNM Super League game between Ekhaya FC and FCB Nyasa Big Bullets at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre.
During the game, Missi is accused of engaging in violent misconduct, strangling Bullets striker Babatunde Adepoju.

The SULOM ruling has also urged clubs to educate their players, staff and supporters on the importance of order and respect for the rules of the game.
